Hello!  I’m Kristin.  My mommyhood began almost 5 years ago to my daughter, Hailey, after several rounds of artificial insemination, two rounds of IVF and many heart wrenching ups and downs.  My second daughter, Skyler, was born 16 months later as a total surprise!  I would not have been able to get through it all without my loving husband and the unconditional support from our families. I am a true believer that things happen for a reason, and someday I hope to be a support for other couples going through IVF.

I am happily married for ten years to my college sweetheart, Nathaniel (aka, Nod).  He is the type of guy that takes time for everyone and is very romantic (which I love). We laugh ALL the time, which I believe is the key to keeping sane when raising kids.  Almost seven years ago, Nod’s company moved us out to the East Coast from the Midwest.   Thank goodness for Skype and plane rides, so we can see our families and friends often!

I have a passion for cooking, entertaining and interior design. My DVR list includes Giada De Laurentiis and Ina Garten from the Food Network; “Divine Design” and “Genevieve Gordor” from HGTV.  I am always keeping my eyes open for decorating and meal inspirations for my own home!

In all my “spare time”, I enjoy creating treat bags for children’s themed birthday parties, photographing my three favorite subjects with my Canon EOS 1000 Rebel XS, rearranging/decorating our house, following blogs, playing “Words With Friends” on my iPad, cooking for my picky eaters and enjoying a nice glass of wine with my husband.

The seven of us girls have been through many ups and downs together.  We are a unique bunch that have stuck together, despite our distances.  This blog is a simple way to inspire, create new ideas and connect with laughter. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I do writing it.  Thanks for stopping by….come back soon!
