Natalie

Hi! I’m Natalie. I am a 34 year-old mother of three little girls and wife to a wonderful man who was once known as my high school sweetheart.

In my single days, you would often times find me rushing out the door to catch the El for work or chasing down a cab to get me to my dinner reservation…however, I am now happily married and life has me settling down and nesting comfortably. I’ve lived all over the US (Arizona, California, Louisiana), but I am thrilled to say that my family and I have been happily rooted in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago for just over 3 years now. In my book, it’s safe to say that home is where the heart is, and it really does take a village to raise a family.

Speaking of family, they mean everything to me.  I am fortunate enough to have been able to ‘redefine’ my career in advertising by taking on freelance work, which allows me to stay home with my girls. I have the most wonderful and supportive husband a girl can ask for. My parents would come to my rescue any time I needed help. My brother, although far away (Los Angeles and btw he’s single, ladies), is always there for me and my in-laws are priceless; always rallying in my corner and so much fun to be around. Truly, I am so blessed to have each of these people in my life. And we have a lot of fun together!

My girlfriends (aka the sisters I never had) are also right up there with my utmost respect, admiration and love.  We’ve been through a hell of a lot together, across multiple stages and phases of our lives, and we still mange to like each other….that’s pretty huge, and in my opinion, we must be doing something right! :) This blog to me, serves as my virtual ‘morning coffee talk’ with them, since, as Heather mentions, we live across multiple states, time zones, and most recently, countries.

Besides being a wife and mom, I enjoy reading, traveling, running, fashion and cooking. Although my ‘spare time’ is very limited, I do enjoy the occasional 5K or good book…when I’m not changing poopy diapers or towing my 4 year-old to pre-school that is…priorities! :)

Every day is a new challenge and every day is a work in progress. Just when I think I have this “motherhood” thing down right, something (or better yet, someone) throws me for a loop, or throws my cell phone in the toilet…but that’s a story for another day’s blog….
